Polyurethane adhesive inflatables. Welding elastomers and plasticine fabrics of inflatable PVC vessels.

Instructions

The substrate should be clean, dry and degreased with MEK (PVC in contact with MEK becomes sticky). Let dry.

This glue is used with a catalyst, at the rate of 4% (or 40 ml per liter). Mix 4% catalyst with the desired amount of glue. Stir to obtain a uniform mixture. Pass the two surfaces that are to be glued with a brush, spreading out a uniform film. Let dry for 5 to 10 minutes. When the glue begins to thicken, apply a second layer of glue. Let it dry for 10 minutes and then join the two substrates and press firmly. Welding will be direct. Full effectiveness is achieved after 48 hours. This procedure is ideally carried out at a temperature of 20°C and a relative humidity of less than 65%.
